Well, as you can from my birth date, I'm 72. But age is not an obstacle to me, it never was. Age is just a number. My "official" occupation is (was) Systems Engineer and Senior Programmer. I've worked for IBM, Sun Microsystems (now Oracle), and for some Geophysical companies designing software. However, in my "parallel life", I love visualization and media in any form. My career was in certain way, as Albert mentioned in his intro, intensive computer use and love for drawing, image processing, video editing, and of course, 3D design and rendering. I use software from different brands, like Blender, Marmoset, Substance Painer, Photoshop, Affinity, Luminar Neo, Topaz, etc. For video editing I use Final Cut and DaVinci Resolve. Like Albert said, I reached a point in my life where I need to leave computer design somehow aside, and dedicate more time to hand drawing, sketching and painting. A kind of return to my early days of paper and pen. I love the feeling of using pencils, markers, brushes and so. And I found this course. It looks like this is what I needed at this point of my life, now I have the time to do what I really enjoy.
