Saul Kim

I'm an architectural designer based in Seoul.
My design practice at Saul Kim Studio focuses on experimenting with avant-garde architectural design solutions.
I have a master's degree in architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a bachelor's degree in architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture.

My personal design series titled 'Architecture Anomaly' explores autonomy, conformity and juxtaposition between architectural parts that challenge the convention of design thinking. I draw inspiration from daily objects and circumstances around me, reinterpreting and applying architectural quality to them. The process challenges the pre-defined role of each architectural parts and their assembly, seeking to find new ways of creating form and space.
