Christine Rochet-Jacob

Hello !
My name is Christine Rochet-Jacob and I am thrilled to join this community of creative people.
My profile definitely reflects my interests, it is multi-disciplinary and international. As a French native, I read English literature and History of Arts at University and naturally became a French and English Literature teacher for 10 years both in the UK and in France. Then, I needed to break loose and start afresh, that is the reason why I went on an initiatory journey all the way to Canada where I fell in love with the country, the people and with my husband architect-designer. When in Toronto, I trained as a garden designer at the Toronto Botanical Garden and George Brown College which got me to work on several garden projects with my husband for our design studio - I felt that I had finally bloomed to reach a better potential in my skill set.

Now, things have changed significantly as I moved back to France with my family 4 years ago. The pandemic reality shifting our minds and paradigms, I have found a lot of joy in reconnecting with my roots (growing up on a farm in Isère) and the fork-to-fork hands-on philosophy that has always characterized me. Since then, I have worked passionately on styling and cooking, trying new recipes, discovering my love for vegetables and all flavourful ingredients...
All this has made me feel even more confident about my new path in France. I am an epicurean and love nature's bounty in food, plants, texture, colour and I really get a kick every time I get creative with nature to turn it into some sort of art.
I am therefore here to develop my skills in food and flower photography, in order to get to work on exciting projects; it is that simple...et voilà!
