The client: IKIGAI, sushi and oriental food.
The problem: My client wanted a minimalist logo design, different from what we are used to seeing in oriental food, that represented the Japanese word "IKIGAI" which means "The reason for living" which clearly reflects my client's passion: We love what we do, we love making sushi.
I was looking for supporting graphics that would reflect the fun and fresh nature of the project, breaking away from traditional norms. I needed a menu design that was clean and easy to understand, yet aesthetically pleasing.
The solution: For the logo, I did some research on the components of the word "IKIGAI" as well as oriental elements that have to do with this concept (lotus flower, cherry blossom tree, etc.). So I came up with the following solution:

Look for the graphic of the support that allows the fun and freshness of the project, breaking with the classic canons. It required a menu design that was clean and easy to understand but with good aesthetics.
