Introduction
I wanted to learn about map making for a story I’m working on.
Supplies
For my final piece I used coloured pencils, and worked on Photoshop to build the map.
Creative Gameplay Maps: Illustrate a Fantasy World
Using the dice to make decisions really helped me not to overthink things. I loved the freedom this gave me.
Thumbnails
I used the thumbnails to play around with the composition. I enjoyed playing with different compositions and colour palettes.

I love seeing how many compositional studies you did and it really pays off in the final piece.
Very cool that you used coloured pencils as well. I wish I would use more traditional media in my work.
