My Name is Mauricio Yañez, i am from Chile, i also have Spanish Nationality and New Zealand Permanet Recidency, am a qualified graphic designer and have experience as a Digital Printer in wide format managin HP Latex 3000 printer, UVISTART II printer and Epsom Surecolor S60600 and small format i worked with Fuji Xerox Versant 2100 printing press.

Since arriving in New Zealand from Spain in 2014 with my Kiwi partner (I’m now a NZ resident), I have been working on design projects for a number of companies including Greenpeace, Generation Zero and Edmund Rice.

For these clients, I created posters, calendars and flyers for their campaigns, and done design work for their websites.

I also did a two-month internship with boutique design agency Studio Q in a Mac Operator role, where I designed business cards for clients and made changes and corrections to designs using Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop. The agency had its own digital printer.

Overseas, I have worked for companies including Ogilvy One Worldwide, where I provided support to the graphic design department, making corrections for clients such as Cigna, Lider and Tricot.

This involved tasks such as cutting pictures, changing and adjusting artwork and text, using vectorial tools, working in QuarkXPress, Photoshop and Freehand.

I also love textiles, and in my spare time I design and hand paint a range of T-Shirts, which I’ve sold at markets around the world.

As well as my experience and qualifications, I bring my organisation, enthusiasm and hard work ethic to any job I’m involved with.
