Joanna Mahoney

Hi, I'm Joanna! I'm a graphic designer and illustrator. My curiosity and life-long obsession with learning keep me busy—I'm always exploring new skills, even when I'm "off the clock." I've been told that I'm an imaginative, thoughtful, and fun person to work with. I've also been told that these qualities make me a great teacher, and I love to share my knowledge with my peers. My not-so-secret superpower is my ability to talk to anyone—I actually feel excited when I have the opportunity to share a presentation or speak to a group! It's strange, I know, but I love an audience.

As a graphic designer, I feel most inspired when I have the opportunity to collaborate with people and businesses that are in the business of helping others. Empowering those who need it is at the core of everything I do! Whether I'm knee-deep in a branding project, designing marketing collateral, creating animations/motion graphics, or working on a personal passion project, I'm always thinking of ways that I can use my skills to connect with people in a meaningful way.

As an illustrator, I aim to create visuals that make people feel joy, feel a sense of calm, or have a good laugh. More than anything, I would love to see my illustrations come to life on home goods, stationery, toys, games, book covers and children's books.

When I’m not at work you can find me listening to true crime podcasts, spending time with my rescue dog (a very cranky Chihuahua-mix), or playing complicated board games with friends.
