Rebecca Butler

Artist, activist, serial hobbyist, solopreneur and founder of Everyday in Retrograde—a femme fashion business specializing in vintage, upcycled and refashioned clothing, while maintaining a femme empowered stance of collaboration over competition. Textiles, embroidery and sewing are both fascinating and poetic mediums I enjoy working with, as well as acting as a stylist and creating local communities and learning hub spots sharing my knowledge of sewing and textile art. I also love relief printing and collage, and find it especially interesting merging those mediums together with their similarities in use of simplistic, yet artfully crafted implied shapes and designs using negative space, color, balance and I enjoy the beauty of intuition when crafting these pieces.
