Courtney Maum has devised a clear, concise course which sets out how to structure your writing in a way that is easy to understand and replicate. We see firsthand how Courtney develops her creative process from a basic idea to a fully written work which brought tears to my eyes. I would recommend this course to anyone who has an idea they need to express but isn't sure how to turn it into something special.

As a portuguese - native speaker this class is a double opportunity - in one way it is excellent to improve the english knowledge both written and spoken, and it is also a great introduction to the personal universe of memoirs, conquering the fears of writing among many other discovers about each one character and voice.

What I appreciate most about the class is the teacher’s tone and the way she teaches. She is calm and has a very kind approach to everything. I think that is an essential skill to have when teaching. It’s a fantastic class!

Da buenas herramientas para plantear una memoria, es claro pero quizás demasiado teórico.
El tema que usa para inspiración no me gustó, demasiado personal.
En resumen, me gustó la profesora, sus planteo, pero me dejó gustó a poco.

Me encantó el curso. Muy ameno y ágil. Agrega herramientas prácticas para iniciar de una vez a escribir. Al inicio sentí que podría incluir un poco más de teoría, pero al final concluí que no es necesario, porque aquí tienes lo esencial para concentrarte en escribir y quitarte las excusas.

This course offers worthwhile information in a straight-forward, concise, and captivating manner. With so many memoir/creative non-fiction writing courses available, Maum’s honesty and vulnerability as a writer make her advice and mini-lessons unusually powerful and memorable. The inspirational and practical aspects of her teaching are relevant for beginners as well as for writers further along in their careers.

This course was very helpful and Courtney is a great instructor and cheerleader. I especially appreciated her three-act story structure with the double timeline, which I intend to use to restructure the first draft of my memoir. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is writing or is thinking about writing a memoir.

Il corso mi è piaciuto molto, avere una "mappa" da seguire è molto utile per schiarirsi le idee e sapere da dove cominciare per qualsiasi tipo di narrazione. Mi sarebbe piaciuto un corso più lungo con questa insegnante, spero ne farà altri. Consigliato!
