Alexa Hendrickson

I grew up in North Carolina but have now lived in New York City for 5 years. Originally, I moved here to pursue acting, but after a quarter life crisis brought on by a house fire, I realized I am tired of the hustle and bustle that comes with fighting to fit into an industry that doesn’t want you. I realized I want to see the world and live a slow, easy life, focusing on enjoying all of the little things I did not allow myself to see before. As I was reevaluating what I wanted to do with my life, I realized how much I love photography. When I was 16, I started second shooting with my sister’s wedding photography business so the foundation was already there; I just needed to carve my own path forward. Now I have found what I love, and it is my goal to explore the world through photography, stories, and music, capturing the beauty of everyday life and what that means in different places.
