My project for course: Botanical Illustration with Watercolors

Here's the plant I painted, which is called "Tradescantia zebrina".
It is quite difficult to depict its light and shadow while it's having some silvery surface.
I tried to use pearl color to make it shine but the pearl pigment can actually causing the white area looked dull when the light is not shining directly on it.
The course about how to digitalise the artwork has helped a lot. Thank you!
