This piece was comissioned by West Contemporary Gallery to commemorate the Queens Platinum anniversary. The piece was auctioned at the Anderson Foundation to raise money for Great Ormond street hospital, raising £28,000 at auction.
Subsequently an edition of 70 prints was made with a percentage of each sale being donated also to Gt Ormond Street Charity. The total cheque presented to Great Ormond Street from West Contemporary, The Anderson Foundation and Carne Griffiths was for £40,000 to support the incredible work and research they carry out.
