Definitely recommend. I'm enjoying this. Very easy to follow. Lapin is so relaxing to listen to and watch. It helps to have a bit of experience with watercolours (which I do - otherwise I would have struggled). But it had some useful tips for improving technique. I would have liked even more commentary besides watching the process - Lapin clearly knows a lot about plants and is a gifted artist. But overall I've learned a lot from this high quality short course on Botanical Sketchbooking.

Excellent course. Starting at the basics and building up to almost advanced. I really enjoy the methodology and the additional information is very informative. I previously purchased a few books but Monsieur Lapin's method is by far the best.

I'm enjoying this class very much. This is my first time learning to paint botanicals and flowers. Mr Lapin's technique is simple and straightforward, although as a beginner I need to build more courage towards using a pen instead of pencil to draw. What I love most is that he encourages me to practice more mindfulness in my drawing and to enjoy the process, and not worry so much if I don't get every single petal correct :)

Well rounded step by step classes with clear and practical exercises. Extra info on how to digitize your illustrations are perfect ending to a great class.

I have taken several of Domestika's courses and Botanical Sketchbooking is my favorite. Painting and drawing plants and flowers have always been my specialty and this course has added much to the enjoyment. Mr. Lapin teaches with a smooth and soothing method most instructors cannot. He has more videos than other classes and I highly recommend this course.

Lapin schafft es, dass auch "Nieten" wie ich im Zeichnen und Malen die Stifte und Farben in die Hände nimmt, und loslegt. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich Zeichnungen und Skizzen fertigbringen würde. Ich freue mich auf weitere Kurse von Lapin.

I am amazed by the artist's mastery of color and line! I wish that my line skills become that perfect one day:). Also, I really like how he works with colors, those gentle tones and the whole palette. And he does it all with just one brush!
I really like Lapin's approach - it's truly meditative indeed, especially compared to the classic botanical drawing. No stress, no trying to draw a perfect photorealistic image, just drawing leaf by leaf and enjoying the process:).

Lapin jest doskonałym nauczycielem. Podaje wiadomości, pokazuje jak z nich skorzystać, powtarza istotne rzeczy. Łatwo za nim nadążyć, uczeń nie gubi się w potoku słów. Kurs jest bardzo dobry i zachęcił mnie do rysowania. Rezultaty są zachęcające i jestem Lapinowi wdzięczna.

Lapin gave me confidence to draw and to keep drawing. His beautiful work as well as other students also inspire me to keep practicing. He is very encouraging and provides great instruction, demonstrations as well as commenting on work published in the course community. The course is structured well and you can move through it as fast or slow as you like. This mediative approach to drawing (the process is very important) and connection to plants is very important.

Great course, no regrets.
