Amazing course!

This course like the Watercolour course is very easy to follow , full of very useful suggestions and recommendations. I haven't done any drawings with charcoal yet but am itching to give it a go. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise.

I really enjoyed Sarah's course, her presentation was clear, comprehensive and very well planned and organised. She has a lovely style and conveys her love of art, very inspiring and achievable techniques. Thankyou Sarah.

This is a very good course. Sarah shows very well how to use charcoal, the different tools and some tips to go a step forward in our own style. Her feedbacks on exercises is always relevant and helpful.

It is a well organized course. Well planned.
It is very beneficial for beginners and advanced artists. Because Sarah gives a lot of great tips and she keeps explaining throughout the drawing process. She is realistic and talks about the mistakes and how to fix it. I loved the course and I would definitely take another course with her. I learned a lot. Moreover, it made me more confident.

I really like her and her presentation. Very clear and concise, encouraging me onward in my artistic pursuit. It was just enough instruction that made you want to explore some of the hinted techniques of other artists too. Go for it, only gain.

This was an an excellent course and Sarah is a really good teacher. The sessions were very well organised and the content covered all aspects of working with charcoal as well as really helpful demonstrations. The back up material and references were very welcome. Being able to redo the course at any time is an added bonus. Thank you Sarah.

Sarah Stokes provides a great lesson on drawing with charcoal. She teaches you step by step. I loved this class and would recommend it to anyone interested in creating portraits in charcoal.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and was amazed at how well I did with my final portrait. There were a couple of technical glitches with the video. Sometimes when I clicked to begin the next section it started me well into the session, not at the beginning. All I did was go back and start again. Other than that sometimes the brightness of the paper Sarah was sketching on didn't show the detail well. I turned down my brightness but it was still bright. All in all, excellent instruction!

This is a really informative and helpful course for anyone interested in starting in charcoal. Sarah Stokes is a great teacher who shows inspiring works, outlines use of all relevant materials, and demonstrates assignments that makes the medium very accessible.
As a testament to Sarah’s great teaching, you’ll see many students in her course, including me, signing up for watercolor class as well. Highly recommend.
