Introduction
For this project, I developed a basic UX writing concept for VoiceBeHeard, an interpreter booking app. It's not my best business idea, as I don't understand how it should work, but I think it's not the main focus here.
The goal was to practice writing clear, concise, and human microcopy across key touchpoints of a digital product: onboarding screens, empty states, error messages, notifications, and buttons.
Throughout the process, I focused on guiding users step by step, reducing cognitive load, and maintaining a consistent voice and tone. Rather than building a complex business model, I concentrated on applying UX writing principles learned in the course and understanding how words support usability and decision-making.

Supplies
Laptop, Windows 11, Chrome browser, free Figma.
Photo Persona
For this project, I worked with a defined user persona - a client who needs an interpreter job. This helped me focus on clarity, reassurance, and guidance, especially in moments of uncertainty or error.

Voice and tone
I defined the product’s voice using a “This, but not this” framework to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
I then applied these principles to error messages, adapting a generic system error into clearer, more human and actionable microcopy.
