My project for course: Realistic Portraits Using Charcoal

I'm generally pleased with my final project drawing, but I would have liked to achieve much smoother mid-tones. I've used charcoal pencils and blending stubs, and maybe applied too much pressure. I'll experiment with vine charcoal and charcoal powder, to see what works best for me.
