This product called s’onada, referring to its origin, consists of a ribbon of fabric made of tongues from the Mallorcan workshop Teixits Vicens. This has the function of holding magazines or books, hanging and covering the armrest of the sofa and being anchored in a ribbon that is between the seat cushion and the arm of the sofa.
Thanks to the versatility in the aesthetics of the Majorcan fabrics, s’onada adapts perfectly to all kinds of environments, whether rustic, classic or modern, combining with the different tones of every corner of the house.
In addition to that, it presents an intention in the directionality of its aesthetics, since having a double diagonal with the function of holding, the prints are kept horizontally showing a certain finish.
The fabrics used, also called ikats, have no front or back, which means that both sides have identical prints. The dyeing of them is done with solid colors, and once dyed, the composition of the drawing is made. Subsequently it is taken to the loom to give body to the fabric with the linen, using the technique of flat weaving.
