Happy LEGO Day, creative builders! Today we celebrate the magic of the colorful blocks that have inspired entire generations to build, imagine and explore. To do so, we want to tell you some curious facts behind the mythical bricks. Join us to discover them!

1. Evolution in Colors: Although LEGO blocks are known for their various colors, originally there were only white, black, red, yellow, and blue. Why did they choose these colors? According to the story, the creators of LEGO were based on the works of the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian.

2. To Infinity and Beyond experts estimate that if a 2x2 LEGO brick tower were built, it could reach the moon using 40 billion blocks. Can you imagine doing something like that?

3. LEGO in Space: Without needing to imagine a LEGO tower, these famous colored blocks have already been in space. On August 5, 2011, astronauts carried three LEGO figures representing the Roman god Jupiter, the goddess of marriage, fertility, and family, Juno, and the Italian scientist Galileo Galilei. In total, traveling 2.8 billion kilometers from Earth.

4. Origin of the Name: The name LEGO comes from the words leg godt, which mean "to play well" in Danish, the mother tongue of Ole Kirk Christiansen, creator of this brand.

5. The LEGO Factory: These small pieces are created in a factory in Billund, Denmark, where they make no less than 36,000 blocks per minute, crazy!

6. The Largest Set: The largest LEGO kit ever produced is the one named Art Mapamundi, which has more than 11,000 pieces and creates an impressive world map where you can mark the places visited around the world.

7. LEGO Guinness Record: If you check the Guinness World Records page, it is not uncommon to find several LEGO-related records of all kinds, from the largest LEGO store to crazy things like the world's largest LEGO block caravan or LEGO block glasses.
