Study of a Classical Still Life

I created a still life in a classical drawing style to practice observation, proportions, and tonal values, using the methods taught in the course.

Graphite pencils (2H, B, 2B, and 8B for the background) and an eraser on hot-pressed drawing paper.

I began with a light block-in to establish the proportions and composition.

I added gradually tonal values going from dark to light.
