The gaze - La mirada

EN: This photographic series is part of the final project for my second-year Fine Arts Gender Studies course, the visual diary. It's the first proposal that emerged from reading two texts by Simone de Beauvoir and Judith Butler. I play with the concept of the gaze, generating images from superimposed ones where I look at the camera.

ES: Esta serie fotográfica forma parte del proyecto final de la asignatura de Estudios de Género de segundo de Bellas Artes, el diario visual. Es la primera propuesta que surge de la lectura de dos textos de Simone de Beauvoir y Judith Butler. Juego con el concepto de la mirada, generando imágenes a partir de otras sobrepuestas donde salgo mirando a la cámara.

EN: The images have been made with photomontage.

ES: Las imágenes se han hecho con fotomontaje.

EN: My own gaze towards the camera or the spectator makes me exist, their gaze reaffirms my existence.

ES: Mi propia mirada hacia la cámara o bien el espectador me hace existir, su mirada reafirma mi existencia.
