Hand-painted Floral Chest of Drawers

Contemporary Chest of Drawers with a vintage twist, when I saw this piece unloved in a charity shop, I had to give it another chance to live and because of the poor condition it was a reasonable price, that said loads of work went into getting this finish and once prepped I could create a bespoke floral design using chalk based paints and art pastels 🌸

This piece was discovered covered in gloss paint and with no legs but still ai could see potential! The mid century drawers were quite plain and would make a perfect blank canvas for artwork. To start I had to fully strip this down of old paint, samd it all, then painted the frame a light peach; next handpainting the floral design on the front to pop out from the more neutral background. The botanical design was built up in layers and then sealed with clear spray varnish to seal.
