Saturday snooze

I sketched my husband using Felix’s silhouette method. I added the detail after the initial rough drawing. I used a watercolour wash for the blue background, which I let dry completely. I added the watercolours on top of the original sketch, using Ecoline watercolour brushes, which I watered down in some places. I added the handwriting/typography to complete the composition. The colour swatches at the top left were my testing some new Staedler pens; I wanted to see how they worked - and then just continued drawing!

I used Derwent watercolours and Ecoline watercolour brushes with Staedler pens.
