Dino the Mosquito Slayer

Inspired by my hatred of mosquitoes, I design a cyberpunk-inspired character with a mission to exterminate such insects.

First, I compiled a mood board and then proceeded to design my character. I wanted it to be a dragon or lizard-like the panda example.

The sketch was tedious, but laying out the flats was challenging as well. It tested my patience which I haven't really practiced before. But, it did make my work more efficient and organized. I masked all the paints to keep the flats intact too.

This is my first time painting something with this much lighting and detail. I look forward to making more using Joel's techniques and amazing brush sets.
