Infrared G20

I have curated the photographic project for the official communication of the G20 Ministerial Conference on Women’s Empowerment, which took place on August 26 in Santa Margherita Ligure. For the first time, in Italy, the G20 is dedicating a conference to gender equality and women's leadership.

The Infrared G20 project consists of ten photographs of significant places in Santa Margherita Ligure. These pictures were captured with a modified sensor camera, able to see the invisible frequencies of infrared light; an invitation to further explore knowledge and human relationships with new points of view and new eyes. Every picture has been printed in a five copies limited edition, each one numbered and signed by the author.

The infrared images reveal the vision of a new orange landscape, the color associated to the Goal of #GenderEquality, one of the 17 Goals integrated on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
