Performance art is an artistic practice based on live action, where the artist's body becomes the primary medium of the work. Unlike disciplines such as painting or sculpture, performance does not always leave a physical object as a result, but an experience that happens in a specific time and space. One of its main characteristics is the importance of time as artistic matter. Duration, repetition and physical or mental resistance are part of the performative language.
