Discover the differences between hatching and macramé. See basic concepts such as warp and weft, before learning how to choose your materials and colors, and the role they play in the design of your textile.
Learn the basic flat weave—the plain-weave technique for taffeta. Your teachers show you how to weave without overtightening the fabric and to make "butterflies" to make better use of your raw material. Discover variants such as horizontal and vertical effects along with different thicknesses to make the most of your creativity. Then, give your piece volume with loops, fringing, and waves.
Learn to illustrate the different fabrics to allow you to sketch ideas of your pieces on paper. Choose a color palette and put together a mood board of images, colors, materials, and textures that inspire you.
Next, assemble your frame base, with the warp and calculate the material to use. Start in the lower part, doing volume stitches, and continue to the upper part, finishing the weave and securing it. Tramarte guides you throughout the weaving process, as well as explain how to add the finishing touches to your piece, so there are no loose ends and it has a clean finish.

Requirements and materials
You don't need any previous knowledge to take this course. As for materials, you need a 40x40cm wooden frame and nails to assemble your practice loom, as well as a circular frame, cotton string, scissors, string, and yarn.
