You will begin to know a little better the work and influences of Antoni Arola and his creative process when developing the design of a lamp.
Then you will learn some basic technical aspects such as the types of light sources and the ways to illuminate to give shape to a preliminary idea that will help you to carry out your own lamp as a final project.

A course by Antoni Arola
Antoni Arola was born in Tarragona in 1960 and currently lives in Barcelona.
He studied at the School of Design Eina in Barcelona, in 1984 he began his professional career in the Estudio Liévore and Pensi, and later in AD Associate Designers. In 1994 he founded Estudi Arola.
His projects touch very diverse fields, lighting projects for Santa & Cole, Viabizzuno and Metalarte, pieces of furniture, perfume packaging, interior design projects and exhibitions.
He combines his professional career with teaching, workshops, artistic experimentation and light research.
His eternal and continuous search for beauty, inspired by ancestral cultures and his particular vision of light, gives him a unique versatility that filters through each project.
Silver Delta Award in 1999 and 2001, National Design Award in 2003 and I-Plus Award 2009 (best lighting), Red Dot Award 2012, and recently named "Soci d'Honor APDI", among others.

Have big respect for Antoni Arola, but this course is less than I was expecting, it's a story about lamp, nice to know, but haven't learned a lot from this course, unfortunately.
But still recommend this course.
