Create a fashion report: from the mood board to the photo editing, going through the professional shooting
There is a great job behind every fashion editorial we see in magazines and magazines. There is an idea in each session, a documentation, a healing of the images ... Viridiana has a great career as a fashion photographer specialized in publishing, has worked for Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, among others. Each of his photographs is the reflection of a lived experience and that is seen in the expressiveness of his images.
In this course, Viridiana will teach you to make a fashion editorial, from the creation of the mood board to its realization outside using natural light and valuing aspects such as: conceptualization, negotiation with the magazine, model management , photo editing and retouching.
What's included in this course?
You will start the course knowing more about Viridiana and her career as a fashion photographer. It will explain what inspires it and what its influences are.
You will learn to conceptualize, land your ideas and translate them into a fashion editorial so that it is published in a magazine. Viridiana will teach you step by step how the whole process is.
You will see how to create a good mood board , a fundamental resource that will help you share your ideas with the team.
At the same time, you should document yourself and see which magazines you want to address and with which modeling agencies you could work. The teacher will give you some tips to find them and to get in touch with them.
You will shoot with natural light, so the first thing will be to find a suitable location. Then you will analyze what photographic equipment you need for the session.
Viridiana will offer you some considerations to take into account before and during shooting , how to talk to the team, deal with the models ... And everything ready for your session!
Once the shooting is done, you will select your photographs. Viridiana will explain to you what it is based on to make this selection. Finally, you will retouch them with Capture One or Adobe Photoshop, following some tips to give color and get a specific mood for your images.
What is this course project?
You will approach a magazine (online or in print) and propose an idea of fashion editorial, performing from the mood board , to shooting , until the final delivery of photographs.
Who is it aimed at?
To photographers (or not) and anyone with an interest in fashion editorial photography.
Intermediate knowledge in camera management, basic lighting and intermediate knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Capture One are required.
