Next, prepare your design by sketching your idea and calculating the amount of rope needed to create it. Begin the weaving process by learning to prepare, set up, and trim your rope with the help of a support. Create an initial braid at the top and follow along as Mariella explains how to make and incorporate more complex knots. Enhance your design by adding extra details with the barrel knot.
Once you've finished, Mariella shares some practical tips for maintaining your unique, handmade piece, which requires a touch of care and dedication.

Macramê tem uma memória afetiva para mim. Quando ei tinha 6 anos minha avó morou um tempo em nossa casa, durante um tratamento médico. Ela então tentou ensinar-me a arte de "amarrar toalhas", era assim que ela chamava. Eu não tive paciência na época, mas sempre admirei demais este trabalho.
