What's included in this course?
María starts by introducing herself and explaining how she came to create María La Biyux, a textile-accessories project based on a social model. She then tells you about her interests, what inspires her, and what moves her.
She also gives an overview of the materials you need for the course. Define what and who your textile piece is for and visualize the colors based on that person's qualities. María delves into colorimetry and the deep connection that each of her pieces has with color.
Then start to make your textile accessory. Cut and stretch the fabrics, folding them in half to turn them into warps. María explains what they are and guides you in creating them. During the process she also talks about rhythm and visual weight. Learn to make a curve so that the necklace is circular, for which you must include three types of tensions (high, medium, and low). Finish up by making a clasp for the necklace.
Increase the complexity by making a textile accessory with two colors and 16 warps (or strands). The challenge is to maintain the same elasticity in the two types of fabric and to equalize them.
Finally, make a single-color textile necklace with 14 strands. This piece is the most complex, since you have to be very attentive to the order and number of threads that you have to weave. Without having the color as a guide, you must focus all your attention on the weaving process.
What is this course's project?
Create a unique, handwoven textile necklace with 12 strands. Work the tension of the fabric with three different degrees of complexity, and finish up by looking at a possible variation and experimenting with everything you have learned.

Requirements and materials
No prior knowledge is required, but you do need some materials such as colored elastic lycra fabrics and metallic latex fabrics, chains with gold or silver links, a needle and thread in the colors of the fabrics, a round pair of pliers and a pair of flat pliers (both used in jewelry), scissors, and a tape measure.
