Cris and Denís give you some useful tips—learned from experience—to help you avoid the most common mistakes made by beginners.
Now it's time to embroider! Prepare your frame and transfer your design to the fabric. Then get some practice using the punch needle before you start stitching your project. Once you've got the technique, work in sections and watch your mask spring to life before your very eyes.
Finally, learn how to finish your piece and make it one of a kind with some decorative details. I was really looking forward to a class on making masks with punch needle, but I found it way too basic and lacking in content. If someone wanted to follow along and actually create the mask, there's no included PDF or template, which feels like a big oversight. Also, despite being labeled for beginners, I don’t think this class is beginner-friendly at all. I’m glad I got it on sale — at full price, it wouldn’t have felt worth it.
