Experimental Portraiture: Fusing Oil, Acrylic, and Spray Paint

Very particular and interesting technique. I love Nikolas works and I loved this course: I found it very useful for "freeing" my brushstrokes. Thanks to Nikolas for sharing his unique technique

Very inspiring course. Learning new techniques to ignite my portraits!

This was a very beneficial course for me. From the first exploration of shapes and abstraction of the photograph, to the thin paint application on the portrait, I learned new things. I like the way I can still be an accurate drawer but then push the boundaries to achieve an original work. I can do this with other subjects but now feel free to try it with oil paint and portraits. I will get to my own portrait when time allows, which unfortunately isn't at the moment. Thank you for your guidance.

In my opinion it's a intermediate course. I would like to see more technique to achieve the style. A full body painting instructions would be nice.

Toller Kurs zum anfangen :-), geht auch sehr in Themen ein die sonst schwer nachzuvollziehen sind.

I love the way how Nikolas explain his whole creation progress. It really inspires me a lot. Thank you so much. Hopefully he can make more courses in the future.

I wouldn't really say this course is for beginners, as you would need to know how to draw portraits before.

However, for someone with experience, he gives some interesting insight.

belle technique, par contre, la prise de vue est quelkque fois loin du sujet, ex: le mélange de peinture ou l'application de la peinture sur la toile .

I enjoyed the coursera and would recommend to anyone who is interested in Nikolas technique.

i liked that this gave me a different way to render faces in oil but i would have liked a portrait that was a bit more challenging - i.e. eyes open, more creative use of colour etc

Very clear instruction and enjoyable course.

Even though it states in the description ..this is a beginners course, I felt that the preview of was a bit misleading and I can see from reading some of the other reviews...other students felt the same way. The work that he created seemed very basic in comparison to the work shown in the preview. So....I would only recommend this course to a complete beginner.
