“ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR / COURSE 2 LESSON 3 - Duplicating and Transforming Duplicating and transforming an object is cooler than it sounds. We can create more shapes using just those two tools. Let's have a look. I'll start by talking about duplicating objects. There are some ways to do that. The first is to use the famous Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V which works here in Illustrator. I select my object, Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V. Notice how it didn't paste it on top of the original object, but a bit to the side. If I want it exactly on top, I use Ctrl + F or Cmd + F on a Mac.
