“In this lesson you're going to learn about dodge and burn or brighten and darken. You're right, man. Dodge and burn is one of the purest form of retouching because all you're doing is brightening or darkening pixels in your image. You're not actually changing the structure of any pixels. Let me show you how that's done. Dodge and burn is terminology that comes from the darkroom. Dodge means to brighten and burn means to darken something.
