“In this lesson, we're going to look at creating our first new document. Now, this is a fundamental step for ensuring our design is set up in the correct way. So let's begin this. Once the software has loaded, we get a new window that has a much pared back appearance to previous versions. Here we can select three main options to open a new document. and these have presets for iPad, web and A4. Also, if we scroll down, we'll see the recent documents that we have opened within InDesign and we have a visual icon representing each of these documents. Jamie Sanchez Hearn is an English graphic designer and lecturer with over ten years of experience in the field. He has worked for creative agencies such as Pentagram, Johnson Banks, Paper Dog, and Landor Associates.
In parallel to working with agencies, he has been teaching at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London for over eight years.
