Fascinated by the Beatles since I was 3 years old, I learned the guitar with tips from my sister at 8 years old, got an electric bass guitar at 14, and started taking music from the bands I loved the most; Alice Cooper, Led, Genesis, Yes. The classical composers that my father listened to fascinated me, Dvorak, Ravel, Stravinsky, Musorgsky, and also enchanted me with the electronic music of Walter Carlos and Isao Tomita. At 18 I bought a guitar, and in addition to Progressive Rock, I started listening to a lot of Jazz (Pat, Oregon, Corea, McLaughlin) and Brazilian Music (Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Hermeto and Egberto Gismonti). I started composing pop and instrumental music, studying with Heraldo do Monte and Mozart Mello. I did workshops with Philip Glass, and studied Steve Reich's music a lot. I created some jazz/progressive rock bands with great Brazilian musicians. At the age of 28 I founded the studio FrequênCia Rara, recording and producing in the following decades names such as Eduardo Agni, Egberto Gismonti, Adriana Mezzadri, Naná Vasconcelos, Badi Assad in memorable albums. I composed soundtracks for 2 short films, TV documentaries, jinlges and themes for dance and children's shows. In 2000 I founded Proacustic, with acoustic projects that I carry out aimed at music production studios and today I have the music producer FrequenCia Rara with my wife, I have 12 albums of authorial music, I dedicate myself to spiritual and meditative music (new age and new mind music) and created the Immaginary Digital Orchestra where I have thousands of orchestral timbres at my disposal, and samplers that I created with exclusive sounds, extracted from audios from these 30 years of recording in the studio, and others that I produced myself.
Today I'm focused on learning how to compose soundtracks for cinema, video and games, an old passion I've taken up! Namaste!
