Danai Marinou

I am a qualified Music and SEND teacher and have been working in primary, secondary, special and adult education since 2005 teaching students of different educational backgrounds, cultures and origins. I am and always have been committed to my professional and academic development and I hold one Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Musicology, two Master’s in Special Education and in ICT in Education where I specialized in Music Education, Child Psychopathology, Distant and Digital Learning. I also hold a Music Diploma in Piano and Music Composition which qualify me to teach GCSE and A-levels.
I always aim for all the students to be actively evolved in music and eventually perform on stage and I am proud to say that most continue with private lessons and begin their personal musical journey. I have also had excellent theory and piano exams’ results with my students in ABRSM & Trinity.
Putting together classical ensembles, polyphonic choirs and rock ‘n ‘roll bands is also one of my passions. I am fluent in English and Italian, I can also speak French and Greek is my mother language, virtues that come in handy when teaching multilingual songs. My main instrument is the piano, and I can also play the guitar, the drums, and also the recorder and the ukulele.
