I loved this course. I haven't painted in oils in 20 some years, and it was a good way to refresh my memory. I was very happy with how my painting turned out, especially since I'm not the best painter to begin with. I forgot how messy oils can be, but you don't have to rush around like you do with acrylics. And she was on Portrait Artist of the Year!

Jane French is one of my favourite artists! I could not believe I found her here on Domestika for just $10.99! She is an excellent teacher and inspiration. The course is clear and easy with great tips and instruction.

It’s great but it would have been a lot easier without the constant wide shots of Jane and the working station and instead more helpfully focussed on the actual learning spaces with perhaps a split screen canvas and palette! Jane is really clear, well organised and with great explanations

I love this course. I am only halfway thru, but my portrait of my daughter is looking great so far. The most important thing I have learned is how to add graduating shades of color instead of blending. I really like this style. Thank you, Jane! I look forward to finishing this course and posting my work.
