I started out wanting to be a fashion designer, but didn't have the support of my parents in this. So I ended up getting a degree in Social Work and worked in social services for about eight years. I was always creating though... jewelry making, wood carving, sewing, stained glass etc. Finally I decided I wanted to try and make a living doing something creative and went back to school for a year to learn graphic design. I then worked as a graphic designer for around 15 years. In the past five years I've rediscovered my love of fashion and costuming. At some point I experimented with macrame and I was hooked! I've been incorporating macrame into my fashion designs and have been passionate about learning more so I can expand my ideas further. I'm very excited about this course and so glad I came across it. Your work instantly caught my attention! It's so beautifully organic. I love the macrame community and look forward to learning some new skills.
