Anne Hier

I am a professional artist and writer with an MFA in painting. I also hold a JD with a concentration in International Law. My principal media are oil painting, colored pencil, pen & ink, and etching My specialty is traditional animal portraiture, specializing in dogs. Besides private clients, I have created illustrations for numerous magazines including the AKC Gazette, Show Dogs, and Popular Dogs as well as original cartoons for the book All About Dog Shows, the Affenpinscher Club of America Illustrated Standard, and the AKC Judges Institute Workbook. However, I have never had the time to master watercolor and that is my current goal as well as expanding and enhancing my illustration style.
