Beatrix Sorensen

I was born is Switzerland, but mostly grew up in Utah, USA, after my family left Switzerland. Now I have lived in Arizona for more than 50 years. Growing up, I helped my father in our large gardens. We had fruit trees, grape and berry vines, vegetables and herbs. We also raised rabbits, having about 300 most of the time. We sold these for market. I have always loved sketching. Many hot summer afternoons after finishing my chores, I would be under one of the trees in our garden, sketching. I wish I had made an organized book, but that wasn't available for me at the time.
I started painting with oils, then acrylics when my friend was teaching classes and told me I could learn to paint; she was teaching classes. Then I learned acrylic painting, but my wish was always to learn the beautiful watercolors. I have been working with watercolors for about 5 years now.
