Tirza Beekhuis

Hello!
I am Tirza Beekhuis, an illustrator from Deventer, the Netherlands. Since I got my BA in Design at the ArtEZ University, I have been illustrating picture books, covers, illustrations for magazines and educational materials. Besides that, I love giving illustration workshops at schools and libraries.
My traditional painted illustrations are playful and atmospheric. They have strong compositions and subtle humoristic details. Although I love working traditional with watercolor and gouache, I always make contemporary illustrations, where the people of today can relate to.
