Shawn McArthur

I’m comic book illustrator from Staten Island, NY. I grew up influenced by comics, manga, cartoons, anime , and video games. I’ve been drawing for most of my life however it wasn’t until I was 18 or so that I knew that creating comics was something I really wanted to do. I did not go to school for Art, but I bought a bunch of books that focused on my desired medium and practiced from time to time. When I was 26 I decided to double down on practicing. I went from drawing for a half hour a day to drawing 8 to 9 hours a day after coming from my day job. On my day off I will draw for 12. Now I make comics and trying to make a name for myself within the circuit. I came to domestika to excel and push myself to a new level so I can finally quit my day job and become an full time illustrator.
