Sarah Walsh

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Sarah Walsh and I’m an illustrator, designer and painter. I have 20 years of experience as a working artist and designer, with projects ranging from digital and conventional illustration, painting, pattern design, hand lettering, products, children’s books, character design and more. I received my BFA in graphic design in upstate NY where I grew up. Gouache paint, Photoshop and Procreate on the iPad are my jams along with animals, nature, vintage children’s books, fashion, all things magical, folk art, and music. After college I worked at Hallmark Cards as in house designer and illustrator but after several years it was time to branch off on my own. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with wonderful companies like PBS, Washington Post, The Guardian, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster and Blue Q to name a few. I live in Kansas City with my family and animals. My work days are spent in the lovely historic River market in a sunny plant filled art studio with lots of dogs running around.
