I am a retired IT Consultant, who specialized in document imaging. Now I enjoy my retirement in working as a bookbinder. I repair old books like classic old books, Bibles and dictionaries but I also prefer to create new leather bound books. Beside bookbinding, I also have a passion in photography and learning foreign languages like French and Japanese. Hope to learn more about paper engineering and utilize the concept to create pop-up cards or books. I have also worked through all the demos from the book "Pop-up design and paper mechanics" by Duncan Birmingham. I think pop-up book is an extension of bookbinding and I have always been fascinated by creativity found in pop-up books. Hope to learn more from this course with Silvia and to be a creative pop-up book designer.
