I live in the heart of the English countryside.As a child I was encouraged to draw by my father week days after supper.My first visit to the National Gallery in London was at 4 years old and I can still remember the feeling of amazement ,wonder and being surrounded by deluge of colour.I have had careers that have always contained an artistic element .Spending the last 25 years teaching adults,stumpwork,quilt design and mixed media.I adore portraiture particularly the Elizabethan era with its secret symbolism and floral decorative detail.I love stitching,painting,making and sharing books with my grand children.I have signed up for this course to re-a -quaint myself with the pleasure of looking at a new way of needle painting and just being able follow my own curiosity.
