Clare Fontana

As a retired designer, I have been in the business a long time, so I've had to adapt my skills several times. When I first started everything in a design studio was done by hand. Craftsmanship was very important, then as the computer became central to the process I had to learn to use them as an art. It was interesting but disorienting at the same time because I felt like I had abandoned my connection to the craft I'd learned and never stopped missing it.
Now that I'm not required to create with the computer anymore, I want to get reacquainted with the good old analog tools of pen, pencil, and paper.
