I am a 71 year old artist. I work solely in terra cotta figurative sculptures. If I think the piece is good enough, I will have it cast in bronze. The majority of my pieces are 17"-24" in height. That's because the interior of my kiln is 26" tall. I have never worked from slabs of clay, I have always hollowed my pieces. Given how heavy my pieces can be before I hollow them, I would most definitely like to learn how to work with slabs and hollow figures. I am looking forward to this class . . . very excited!
