Elena Albertoni

I’m an Italian lettering artist and type designer based in Berlin.
I create visual identities based on good typography and unique letterforms, looking for individual solutions that can simultaneously express diversity and match their environment.
In my studio La Letteria I revive the traditional techniques of sign painting and reverse glass gilding, which I believe really bring added value to today's visual appearances.
My main tool is the brush, which admittedly keeps me in thrall. From the concept onwards, I create various inscriptions for shop windows, signs, facades, vehicles and more. I love vernacular design and the idea of creating everyday things, enhancing the ordinary.
