I have never done real mosaic, I started making little patio tables with left over glass from stained glasswork and build glass on glass because glass is such a beautiful material and changes with the light cast on it and through it. The colored shadows, the change in the colors during different time of day really brings me joy. My pieces are far from trompe l`oeil, they are flat graphic design-one dimensional. I have tiled three bathrooms with my husband and laid pavers for our backyard patio. I just retired after 38 yrs as a float pool nurse and would like to do some real mosaic pieces. I love to draw and am recently learning to watercolor paint.
